OMB As An Appeal Body

The Ontario Municipal Board hears appeals and applications on land use planning issues and other matters. It provides a forum to hear appeals on these matters and then renders a decision based on the evidence provided at a hearing and the relevant law. Appeals to the OMB are generally submitted when a person, public body or corporation, disagrees with a decision from the municipal level.
